Can I come if I don't know anyone else?

Absolutely! Many guests arrive solo and leave with a whole book club's worth of new friends. We design our retreats to be welcoming and inclusive, there’s magic in meeting kindred spirits.

 

Can I book a single room on any of your retreats?

Yes, single accommodations are available.  We strive to tailor our accommodations to meet your specific needs.  There are solo occupancy room options on all our retreats for those that like a private single room.

Is alcohol served at retreats and events?

Yes, some of our events include a glass of bubbles or a themed cocktail or two! We also always have non-alcoholic options available and a judgement-free atmosphere.​

Do I need to be a big reader to attend?
Not at all! Whether you devour five books a week or just love the idea of curling up with one, you're welcome here. Our retreats and events are about connection, creativity, and celebrating storytelling in all forms.

Do you offer interest free payment plans?

Yes!  We can offer Humm90 which will allow up to 12 months interest free.  Please send us an email for the application link!

 

Do I have to pay in full when booking a retreat?

Bookings made through our website are paid in full at the time of booking. However, if you'd prefer to pay a deposit and receive an invoice with a payment plan, feel free to contact us—we're happy to help!

How do I book my spot on one of your retreats?

You can select either a twin share room (priced per person) or a solo occupancy room via the "Bookings" page on our website. Once we receive your booking, we will email you confirmation and request further info such as dietary requirements.  

Alternatively you can email us for an invoice to set up payment plans, complete a bank transfer or pay via Commbank reward points.

I want to book a room with a friend — how do I do that?

We’d love to have you both join us! To book a room with a friend, each of you will need to make your own individual booking and select the twin share option. Once both bookings are confirmed, just send us an email with both of your names so we can pair you together in the same room. Easy!

Do you cater to dietary requirements?

Yes, we do! At She Journeys, we understand that everyone has unique dietary needs. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, or have specific allergies or preferences, we’ll make sure you’re well looked after. Just let us know your requirements when booking, and we’ll work with our venues and chefs to ensure your meals are safe, nourishing, and delicious.

Are only women allowed on retreats?
Our retreats are designed primarily for women, creating a safe and welcoming space where our guests can truly unwind, connect, and be themselves - like stepping into a story written just for them. However, our Book Balls are open to everyone, so all book lovers are welcome to join the celebration!

Are there any age restrictions on your retreats?

We want everyone to feel welcome - whether you're in your 30s, 60s or even 90s - if you love reading, you're invited to join our adventures!  However, please note that due to some of our epic activities like archery and cocktail making, our journeys are currently for those 18 and over.

I'm travelling from interstate, can you assist with travel and transport?

Absolutely!  Georgie, our Adventure Architect, is able to book your domestic flights and organise airport transfers for you, thanks to our partners at GoTrvl.

Are bookings refundable?
Retreat bookings come with a non-refundable deposit, and the full amount becomes non-refundable within 30 days of the event. That said, if you can’t make it, your spot can be transferred to another guest—think of it as passing the plot to a fellow reader!
Book Ball tickets are also non-refundable but happily transferable, so you can always send a friend in your place for their own magical night.
